#Help, my cute host got bent by the female lead, how do I fix this#
Look at the title. Obviously, my adorable Susu earnestly carries out each task. But the last step would always be destroyed by the female lead. Why do the other systems’ hosts have blackened female leads who snatch male leads to play, while everytime we strategize for the male lead to meet up, the female lead would counter the strategy?!
Here, I would like to ask my fellow colleagues how to let my Susu complete the task. Urgent, waiting online!
Answer: Change the task.

YunGe felt that taking her disciple to the back mountains opened up the door to her disciple’s world.
Thus, on a yet another morning, YunGe finished her meditation to find that the disciple who had been asleep, had gone missing.
YunGe facepalmed. How many times had this happened?
YunGe went to the back mountains and saw her disciple surrounded by several spirituals beasts. She was beating them up in a desperate manner.
YunGe picked her up, then glanced at the several spiritual beasts pretending to die. “Why did you sneak out again? It’s too early!”
“…” The disciple’s face was red. Out of YunGe’s line of sight, the disciple glared at the spiritual beasts. The spiritual beasts shivered; living a good life was too difficult!!!
YunGe felt this group of spiritual beasts were very sensible; they had not harmed her disciple. However, she examined her disciple’s body to reassure herself. After confirming there were no problems, YunGe pinched her nose. “Since nothing bad happened, it’s fine!”
“Master…” The disciple affectionately rubbed against YunGe’s neck. “Master, am I useless?…”
YunGe patted her head. “Of course not, you’re very powerful.”
She earnestly checked her disciple’s spiritual veins. She couldn’t detect any problems. YunGe herself could not even begin to compare with the amount of spiritual energy her disciple could absorb. However, the problem lies in the disciple’s inability to learn the most basic skill of drawing out energy and letting it enter the body.
This problem was worrying YunGe almost to death. Her disciple’s innate skill seemed comparable to Tian Dao’s biological daughter, except she suddenly turned out to be an illegitimate daughter…
Elder Lian had seen the disciple; he merely shook his head. He had also believed that with a pure Yin body and a single spiritual vein, the disciple’s cultivation ought to defy natural order. However, he had not expected her to possess the worst single-element spiritual veins which focused on vitality: Wood spiritual veins. Furthermore, a pure Yin physique had no attack power with the Nine Yin Channels. Having just one attribute would have resulted in rapid progress in cultivation, but having both had resulted in the worst possible outcome.
Elder Lian had carefully discussed the matter with YunGe. It would be problematic for the disciple to learn how to absorb energy into the body, let alone reaching Foundation Establishment.
YunGe didn’t change her mind about keeping the disciple. But she did wonder whether she ought to find the disciple a strict senior brother or a sister. That could ensure that her disciple had someone around, even in YunGe’s absence.
Of course, YunGe couldn’t mention this to her disciple. Ever since Elder Lian’s visit, the disciple had become even more clingy. She would not permit the existence of even a little gap between them, hanging on YunGe’s body, like a baby kangaroo.
However, YunGe was more worried about her disciple running to the back mountains to pick fights with spiritual beasts everyday. YunGe could see her panic and restlessness.
When it was time to go back, YunGe shot a glance at the group of spiritual beasts that were hiding. They all collectively quivered. Their lives were too full of hardship!! Although they had stealthily leveled up, they weren’t happy at all!! Inhumane treatment was also received… but the most significant part was that they had to receive the mistreatment!! Even that stupid human used that kind of gaze to intimidate them… so tiring… they would like to quit being spiritual beasts. Hereafter, they must break away from this demon and go to the Level 2 area…
YunGe didn’t know the thoughts of the group behind her. She just picked up her cool disciple, turned and left. For a cultivator, change of seasons meant no difference. Even if the sky was filled with snow, YunGe could wear her summertime attire. Her disciple was different; she could not draw out energy and let it enter her body. Even if she was brimming with spiritual power, it would be pointless. And so, the disciple got wrapped up into a Zongzi by YunGe. The addition of a cloak increased her resemblance to a Zongzi. [1]
The entire mountain was blanketed in snow. The scenery was coloured in white as far as the eye could see. Because of YunGe’s cultivation base, there were no Level 1 spiritual beasts around to pester the two. It was deathly silent. The only sound was YunGe’s footsteps. Her disciple leaned into YunGe’s embrace and listened to the sound of her steady heartbeat. Putong. Putong… it was as if someone had put a loudspeaker next to her ear and played this beat. It seems like this was the entirety of the world.
By the time they returned to the cave, the disciple’s mood had stabilized. YunGe put the disciple down and looked at her; she had fallen asleep.
There was a marked difference when her disciple closed her eyes and when she was awake. The difference was made by her pair of eyes which seemed to contain a bright sun within. They glistened all the time. YunGe felt contented.
“Master…” The disciple leisurely woke up, her voice soft. YunGe could no longer see in her the child that had isolated herself in her own world.
The disciple did not know why, but she is particularly fond of these cheeks and these glistening, round pair of eyes. She resembled a little rabbit stealing a carrot. After being fed by YunGe everyday, her disciple’s face had more meat. Her cheeks tempted one to poke them. YunGe was the type of person who did not like to hold back on her impulses. And so she poked her disciple’s bulging cheek. “What the matter? Hungry?”
“Master, you didn’t wake me up~” The disciple’s tone was impatient. “I need to go cultivate!”
“Puchi…” YunGe laughed and poked her cheeks again. The feeling was really nice. “No rush, it’s still early.”
“Not anymore!” The disciple hastily ate, stuffing her cheeks with food. YunGe kept an eye on her disciple, in fear of her choking.
“No need to rush.” YunGe quickly handed her a cup of water. The disciple had not realized that she couldn’t let out energy into her body. YunGe had not told her.
YunGe felt distressed. “I will never throw you away, regardless of the situation.” So you can be a little girl. It doesn’t matter.
The disciple lifted her head and gazed at YunGe with bright eyes. “Master…” Without waiting for YunGe to say anything, the disciple smacked her lips and went over to kiss her face. YunGe froze, then smiled. Such a heart warmer!
Seeing YunGe in a daze, the disciple held the cloak firmly, not wanting appear relaxed. So many times she had seen her so-called younger sister, so proud of herself, flaunting by kissing that woman like this…
Then she saw a flash, another pair of eyes, a gullible white face… In a split second, it dissolved. YunGe widened her smile. She saw her disciple’s eyebrows but not her eyes…
The disciple gradually loosened her hand. This person…

YunGe hugged her disciple tightly. “I will never leave you.”
The disciple burrowed deeper into YunGe’s arms like a little rabbit, and leaned on her bosom. “Master’s… words… must count…”
YunGe couldn’t help but laugh; even now, she still had to promise. She briefly touched her disciple’s red nose. “Crybaby, master’s words always count!”
“Wu[1]…” The Ice spiritual beast next to them really couldn’t endure it anymore and shouted.
YunGe looked at the spiritual beast who was pleading and crawling on the floor, pretending to die. All spiritual beasts on Yunfu School’s back mountains have a certain consciousness[2]. YunGe extended a hand and gave the spiritual beast some spiritual power. It was as if she didn’t care about it continuing to pretend to die.
Had the spiritual beast known what she was thinking, it would have definitely hurled the gifted spiritual power at her face! Pretending to die?! It was on the verge of dying, alright? That “seemingly weaker than a chicken” wimp had beaten it to death, okay?
Unfortunately, the spiritual beast did not know her thoughts, so after obtaining another portion of spiritual power, it took the opportunity to get closer and rub against her leg. Then its body went stiff. Two seconds later, it ran away!
YunGe was not aware of this course of events, she merely found the way it ran off to be a bit funny.
“Master…” The disciple rubbed against YunGe’s neck, resentful that all her attention was captured by a mere spiritual beast.
YunGe inwardly felt happy. Her disciple’s personality had become more and more lively; her eyes weren’t as empty.
It’s just that… YunGe sighed in her heart. Her disciple completely lacked that kind of inheritance in her spiritual veins. What had gone wrong?
[T/N- “that kind of inheritance”- Connecting the second to last paragraph(about more personality) to the next paragraph. Basically saying she lacks spiritual power in contrast to personality.]
The little disciple’s results of the day were entirely dependent on physically scuffling with the spiritual beast, without using even a little spiritual power.
It would be a lie to say that her disciple was incapable of gathering spiritual power. In order to kill that Level 8 Flame Beast, the disciple had gathered a great amount of spiritual power with her bare hands. Furthermore, this was after looking at the process of gathering spiritual power just once. There aren’t many cultivators with the talent to replicate such a skill in that manner. YunGe completely relied on her own cultivation base[3], but her disciple could do it without cultivation. At the time, YunGe thought it was due to the advantage of having Wood spiritual veins and a Pure Yin body, but now…
YunGe had a bad premonition.
“Alright, I’ll give you something good to eat once we get home, crybaby…” YunGe gently wiped the glistening tears that still hung on her disciple’s face.
“Master…” The disciple buried her face in YunGe’s embrace, her voice trembling. It gave a kind of pitiful feeling. “Master… am I useless?…”
YunGe smiled. “No, you’re still too young. Besides, you’ve beaten up a little monster until it couldn’t even stand up…”
“Master…” The disciple had raised her head, then stared at her without saying anything else. She was still very thin, but because of her alabaster lips, both of her cheeks were swelling like pockets full of money. Her chin was sharp. The pupils of her eyes were bright, as if they were looking at the entire world. The disciple’s 5 sensory organs were fully engaged. Those formerly empty eyes were nowhere to be seen. This was the first time YunGe saw her disciple like this.
“Hm?” YunGe smiled. “Crybaby grew to be really pretty, like a little princess, but too thin.” She kneaded her disciple’s wrist, which resembled a pole used to dry clothes in the air.
The disciple’s face went red and swiftly buried in YunGe’s bosom. Seeing this, YunGe smiled even more. “You’re still shy?”
YunGe’s heart felt warm. She finally understood why others say that daughters were intimate[4]. Even when she wasn’t doing anything, her disciple would lie in her arms, bringing warmth to her heart.
Once they returned to the cave, the disciple hung on to YunGe, unwilling to come down.
YunGe took off her disciple’s hat, then rubbed her head. “Crybaby, you’re going to turn into a baby kangaroo~”
The disciple poked out her head. “Master, what is a baby kangaroo?”
At this point, YunGe remembered that there were no kangaroos in this world! However, she did not let this affect her elegant facade in front of her disciple. “It’s a type of spiritual beast. The baby spiritual beast hangs in their mother’s bosom everyday. Afterwards, their legs become shorter and shorter. Crybaby, if you don’t get down, your legs will end up just like the baby kangaroo’s legs. Shorter and shorter…” YunGe deceived the ignorant girl and even pinched her nose.
“…” The disciple immediately went down.
YunGe saw this and laughed. Apparently, going to the back mountains was the right choice. The disciple had changed a lot.
The disciple’s body was wrapped in a white fur cloak. Because the hat was recently taken off, her short hair was a mess and her eyes, now full of color, kept wandering around. YunGe discovered that when her disciple grinned, she would unintentionally display two shy rabbit teeth. It was originally somewhat a pretty appearance simply because of this dim-witted smile. What was even more dim-witted was that the rabbit teeth looked pure and stupidly adorable. YunGe looked on until her heart melted. Who would’ve known that these were the true colors of this cold disciple she picked up!
The disciple felt embarrassed being gazed at so intently. With a loud clamor, she swiftly held on to YunGe’s thighs. She raised her head and looked at YunGe. “Master…”
“…” YunGe’s heart was affected by the adorableness to the point of ‘must not, must not.’ She carried her disciple back up. “Be good…”
“Master…” The disciple moved closer to YunGe’s face. The distance between their faces were only a few centimeters. “Master is the best…”
While mumbling that sentence, the disciple rubbed her face against YunGe’s face.
YunGe stared blankly. This development… isn’t it a bit too fast?
That disciple… doesn’t she have autism? Could it be that she was mistaken?
However, YunGe was very satisfied with her disciple’s affection. She even took the initiative to rub against her disciple’s face. “Disciple is very well-behaved.”
“…” YunGe did not notice the flash of light passing through her disciple’s eyes upon hearing those words. YunGe was thinking about her own error in judging her disciple’s heart to be cold, just because her face was cold. Once her disciple acknowledged someone in her heart, they would always be a familiar person.
The two people intimately ate pastries. Then, she coaxed her disciple to sleep. YunGe was different from her disciple; her disciple still needed to sleep.
Once YunGe coaxed her disciple to sleep, she turned to leave. The originally-sleeping disciple opened her eyes and looked at YunGe’s back. The expression in her eyes became more and more resolute.
Once again, she had used everything to gamble! Staking it all on one bet! Betting on this person who treated her just as well as her mother treated her so-called little sister! Betting that this person would treat her well with no ulterior motives. Nothing to do with spiritual veins and nothing to do with that so-called physique… It seemed as if this bet was her last trace of hope in the world…
Like that person had said, how could anyone be genuinely good towards someone like herself? Even if she could understand things from a young age, she still couldn’t stand this world, but what about it?
Right now… she had won the bet, hadn’t she? A warm liquid could not stop flowing.

There was still half a year till Yunfu School’s next disciple recruitment. YunGe decided to take advantage of these six months to let her disciple learn to get along with others.
She had wanted to let her disciple start with Lin Ling and Lin Pu, but unfortunately, they had gone into seclusion for a hundred years. YunGe didn’t trust other people, so she could only take her disciple up to the back mountains for grinding (beating up spiritual beasts).
Everyone with spiritual veins have an instinct originating from the deepest part of their spiritual vein. This instinct helped YunGe survive when she was besieged by a tide of spiritual beasts before she had learned any skills. That was why YunGe was chosen by her master.
YunGe looked at the young Level 1 spiritual beasts below her. Tch[1], isn’t this master underestimating her own disciple? Forget it. This is for the sake of her disciple’s well-being! Her disciple’s situation is special, so when her second disciple shows up, she would throw them at Level 2 spiritual beasts!
[T/N]- (1) YG expressing her frustration.
En! Indeed, she is a master with good morals!!
“Master…” The small voice pulled back YunGe’s train of thought. She looked at her disciple. Good for you, ice beast! Actually daring to bully my disciple!! I threw my disciple in there to let her bully you guys, not the other way around!
YunGe had expected her disciple to defeat the Ice spiritual beasts without a problem. She picked up her disciple whose face was glistening with tears and comforted her. Then, she kicked aside an Ice beast that opened its mouth to attempt an ice skill.
“Are you alright?” YunGe examined her disciple and found that she was fine. Her disciple only kept burrowing deeper into her embrace.
YunGe looked at her again with both sadness and distress. Because of her disciple’s innate talent, had she not known when the female lead was to show up, she would have definitely suspected her disciple to be the female lead, “Lin Yuan.” Her disciple practically has all the common female lead characteristics of melodramatic novels! However… being one to possess a pure Wood vein, you’re afraid of a Level 1 Ice beast. Is this really alright?
Without waiting for YunGe to sigh, the disciple’s mumbling voice came from YunGe’s bosom. The disciple had buried her head inside, leaving only the furry white hat visible. “Master… I’m scared…”
YunGe’s was shaken for a moment. For so long, her disciple had only said one word…
She had believed it would take a long time to hear other words from the disciple. Who would’ve known…
YunGe extended her hand and gently stroked her disciple’s hat. Because she had been cultivating since childhood, her fingers were long and thin; the bones well-proportioned. Under the white fur, it looked more like white jade and the glossy luster of gems.
“It’s nothing, I am here. I am always here by your side.” YunGe’s voice was gentle. The disciple put her ear next to YunGe’s heart and listened. She felt an irregular beat near the thoracic cavity, her mood complex, but quickly steadied.
To prove that this group of little spiritual beasts are all wimps, YunGe put down her disciple.
“Don’t be afraid, I’m here by your side. No one can hurt you. Soon, you’ll be able to do this by yourself, alright?” YunGe said seriously as she looked at her disciple and pinched her nose.
The disciple’s eyes were already flowing with tears, as if wanting to say ‘Master, I really am scared…’
“Dearest disciple, master will watch over you. Don’t be scared. If you don’t want to go, you need to tell me why. What are you afraid of?”
The disciple finally couldn’t hold it and rushed up. “Master…”
YunGe felt a child mistreatment kind of feeling. Her heart turned soft. Forget it, if she doesn’t want to go, she won’t go. The future is long[2], so there is no need to force her!
The disciple’s tears, the size of beans, began to drip incessantly, also making people want to sob spasmodically.
YunGe’s heart hurt even more. She could’ve solved things slowly. Why did she have to be this impatient? She always knew: even when she had held her trembling disciple in her arms, the disciple had never truly requested YunGe’s help. Her disciple had always buried herself deep in a cocoon, a place where onlookers couldn’t see. She couldn’t tell what her disciple was thinking. The disciple had a strict awareness of her own territory, that YunGe knew. In her disciple’s eyes, YunGe was a very important person. To say the least, she had let YunGe into her territory. But YunGe was also an insignificant person to her, because she had never really trusted YunGe nor had she requested YunGe’s help. Today, however, YunGe discovered that their relationship had made some progress.
“…” YunGe looked at her disciple, who cried until her face turned red. Her heart throbbed with pain; she didn’t like seeing children cry, even more, crying so sadly. It was as if all the sorrow and dread flowed out with the tears.
“Be calm, we won’t go, we won’t go.” YunGe carried her disciple and turned to leave.
“Master…” The disciple struggled and managed to get down. YunGe saw her disciple charge towards the Ice spiritual beast not too far away.
She cried and ran at the same time. Then she fell flat on her face, right in front of the spiritual beast. She resolutely got back up and pounced on the spiritual beast, which was two times bigger than her. Indeed. She, without using any spiritual power, had directly pounced on it.
That Ice spiritual beast had been previously kicked by YunGe, so it was gloomy. So when it saw the main culprit of this disaster, it sensed danger. But then it saw a very comedic scene, that person had tripped in front of it.
The Ice spiritual beast looked at the very powerful person not so far away and looked back at the “weaker than a chicken” person that fell. It remembered the leg, and had only one thought: Run!!!
Unexpectedly, it couldn’t move!!!! Then it saw that “weaker than a chicken” wimp had pounced on it. She cried while beating it up. “Master… don’t throw me away… hic…”
Tears and nasal mucus flowed out together…
The Ice spiritual beast also wants to cry… it hurts… clearly, she did not use any spiritual power… now it only had enough strength to struggle. Every time it struggled, the place where it should hit was still hit… its’ body hurts… the heart hurts more though…
The little Ice beast glanced at the person not so far away. Their eyes still had a trace of menace… it’s heart ached more painfully… obviously, the one that is getting beat up is me!!! Even though it was struggling very violently…
YunGe watched in distress as her disciple beat up the Ice beast into a pulp. Although her disciple’s small hands and calves kept waving and moving, she was still crying. What was her disciple mumbling to herself about? YunGe felt distressed but did not do anything. Right now, her disciple needed to vent her feelings!
Fortunately, because she had kicked the Ice beast, it didn’t dare use spiritual power to go against her disciple. Although the little Ice beast was bigger than her disciple, their melee was evenly matched!
The disciple finally got tired. She kicked the Ice beast with one last kick and then sat on the ground. She turned around to face her master, tears continued to flow and her face was red. She merely resembled a small deer that was being abandoned. “Master… don’t throw me away…”
YunGe panicked; she had thought that her disciple dashed towards the Ice beast to vent her feelings. She hadn’t expected that it was because of her…
Without delay, YunGe went to hold her disciple. “I won’t abandon you!”
The Ice spiritual beast next to them cried… it must carefully cultivate in the future!!!!

[2]-Idiom for “There will be ample time for that later”
When her Master’s communication talisman arrived, YunGe was still teasing her disciple.
“Explain!!!” The Master’s enraged voice made the disciple jump up in fright.
YunGe rubbed her disciple’s head. “Puchi” She laughed, “How is your courage this small, ah? This is Master’s voice, and that thing is just a paper tiger. Don’t be afraid.”
The disciple burrowed into YunGe’s embrace, hearing the smile in her teasing. The disciple’s eyes flashed with an indescribable radiance.
When YunGe arrived at her Master’ palace[1], she was fully prepared to confront his rage. Besides, who allowed herself to be a master!
Unexpectedly, however, she arrived to find her Master with a tranquil expression. It was evident that all the fury had already been extinguished.
Elder Lian looked at his Eldest Disciple who was just standing there. Her face was cold and detached, her expression reminiscent of frost. Yet her appearance was cool, elegant and pure. An ordinary person who put on a cold face like her would have lost 7 or 8 points of beauty. YunGe, however, seemed to have been born with a proud and aloof coldness.
This disciple of his… he knew just how many people in the cultivation world admired her. And that not one dared to step forward and stand beside her.
From YunGe’s perspective, her Master looked as if his mind was rambling incessantly. It was the same thing last time; then, she was put in detention for 3 years…
She was tired. ‘Master, if you have something to say, then say it! Don’t leave people guessing! Even if you guessed, you would still need to guess 18 more turns. Does Master really treat his disciple’s brains as a mountain road? Still allowing 18 turns?!
Hehe… Right now, she could step forward, clutch Master’s neck and roar “You want to joke around like that? Are you having fun?!” Eh… of course, she couldn’t do that. Therefore, YunGe continued to stand as her Master looked at her with a complicated look.
“YunGe…” He finally spoke.
“Master…” YunGe lowered her head. Master, if you[2] have something to say, then say it. By all means, do not use your hate to marry off… eh… no, I must not wait to see my disciple looking at me when she gets married off ah! In my previous life, a relative already seen the psychological shadow…
“If you want to accept a disciple, then just go ahead and do it.” Elder Lian sighed. He had yet to meet YunGe’s disciple. However, this was the first time for YunGe to cultivate such a close relationship with another person.
YunGe internally rejoiced. Last time, Master’s promise was rather half-hearted. This time, YunGe knew Master had compromised. “Thank you, Master.”
Elder Lian saw the obvious joy in YunGe’s eyes, and sighed in his heart. When will he get to see this little grand disciple of his?
Following this, YunGe had to endure her Master’s long-winded words on how to teach the disciple about this and that…
YunGe found his words to be clear and logical. She ridiculed him internally. Master, teaching the disciple like this, are you an expert at this?
When YunGe first entered the school, her Master had thrown her an introductory Cultivation Method book. Then, he instructed several Outer Disciples to remember to deliver food. After that, forget about seeing her Master, she didn’t even see his shadow for years. Several years later, the number of Junior Brothers and Sisters had increased. YunGe felt that the number of times she had met her fellow Junior Brothers and Sisters must be equal to the number of times she had seen her Master. Therefore, YunGe blocked his words about how to teach her disciple.
Elder Lian glanced at his disciple who was standing there, her long eyelashes falling over a face that was cold as frost. He could only sigh in his heart. This disciple definitely didn’t hear what he had said.
“For the time being, go back and cultivate well. When you reach Core Formation, I shall ask sect leader to oversee.” Elder Lian looked at YunGe, his eyes full of affection.
YunGe shivered at the gaze of her crazy Master, goosebumps appeared. “…” Master’s intermittent craziness[3] flared up again…
……………………
When YunGe returned to the Immortal’s Cave, she took out the introductory Cultivation Method book that Master had thrown. Her disciple had wood spiritual veins, so her introductory Cultivation Method would be different.
YunGe rubbed the disciple covered in the Flame Beast’s fur. She was suddenly overcome with a sense of peace.
“Little disciple, this Master will carefully protect you in the future.” YunGe pulled the blanket made from the white fur.
At the moment, she was not in a rush to let her disciple start cultivating. The disciple’s current temperament wasn’t fit for cultivating. Rather, YunGe should focus on letting her disciple open her heart and be a lively and optimistic child.
As a result, when the little disciple woke up, she found that her master wasn’t in the cave anymore.
YunGe’s way of thinking was as simple as: ‘Sick? Go to the doctor.’
If her disciple kept staying in the cave, there would be little progress made in curing her. Earlier, she hadn’t dared to put her disciple in the crowd of Inner Disciples. Now, it might be a good thing. Besides, basically the entire Yunfu School now knew about her future Eldest Disciple. In addition, disciples with wood spiritual vein had mild temperaments and tended to avoid causing trouble. It would be great if her disciple could get along with them. YunGe felt it might also benefit her disciple’s health.
And of course, Elder Lian had given his approval. Even though the Lin generation hadn’t, they had many wood spiritual vein disciples. If his little grand disciple could learn from Zhuan School’s wood spiritual vein cultivation studies, then his own disciple could also relax a bit more.
After disciples enter the Yunfu School, their future foundation would be based on those cultivation teachings. During those years, YunGe was an exception.
YunGe felt… she didn’t have any friends. She wasn’t intimate with her Junior Brothers and Sisters because at the time, her Master hadn’t let her learn with them. So she must avoid letting her disciple follow her footsteps.
But how could she tell her disciple about this matter?
In her previous life, she remembered the time when her niece was tricked into going to kindergarten. As a result her niece had abused the kindergarten teacher’s ears for 3 whole hours!
Although YunGe couldn’t imagine her clever and cute disciple rolling on the floor and making a scene, she could easily imagine her with an empty expression, not saying even a single word; Sitting on her seat, not changing her posture for 3 hours. YunGe sighed. She would rather her disciple roll around and make a scene ah!
“Master…” The disciple’s small face was hidden under the furry, white hat. She looked even more delicate and provoked affection.
“Disciple…” YunGe rubbed her disciple’s head. So far, her disciple had only said that one word, that is, “Master”. No other word had yet escaped from her mouth.
YunGe picked up the little disciple with one arm. The other hand picked up a pastry from the jade plate. “Do you want to eat?”
The disciple did not look at the pastry, nor did she nod, shake her head, or even speak. Instead, her eyes stared intently at YunGe. It was as if she expected YunGe to disappear in a second if she didn’t keep staring.
YunGe looked at this expression and then thought of something. Ever since she returned, her disciple had been staring intently at her, not blinking once.
She had waited for her disciple to fall asleep before she left to visit her Master. Then she had returned to see that expression when her disciple woke up…
YunGe felt a pang of guilt. How could she have overlooked this?

Feeling her spiritual energy slowly replenishing, YunGe realized why it was difficult for wood vein cultivators to form their core. There weren’t many who had reached the Foundation Establishment stage. There was no doubt that wood spiritual veins were the best at absorbing spiritual energy! YunGe used to think that it was because wood spiritual veins had very low attack power. Now, however, it seemed that this was not the entire case.
“…” YunGe touched the disciple’s head and brought the remaining spiritual cotton candy to the side of her mouth. Without waiting for her disciple to open her mouth, the spiritual cotton candy slipped in. Sensing her disciple absorbing it, YunGe resumed rubbing her head. She will carefully protect her disciple and not allow others to take advantage of her spiritual veins!
Lin Ling and Lin Pu were still surrounding the abandoned Level 8 Flame Beast. They touched the white furred creature that was many times bigger than them. “Third Senior Brother, Senior Sister is very powerful!!!”
Lin Pu did not speak, but the expression in his eyes was dark and inscrutable.
When YunGe came down, Junior Sister Lin Ling practically threw herself at her. Fortunately, Lin Ling still had some reason. The last time she directly pounced at her, she couldn’t get out of bed for 3 days. Lin Ling stopped her foot in time and then saw Senior Sister pinch… right! Precisely pinching, and not cutting off the nose of the person she was carrying!
Lin Ling did not know what her own heart was feeling, but it was definitely unpleasant! Since when did Senior Sister treat that person like this??
“Senior Sister, let’s go back together…” Lin Ling glanced at the expressionless disciple in her Senior Sister’s embrace. Her heart felt uncomfortable, wasn’t she a fool?
“En.” YunGe nodded and stored the 4 meters tall Flame Beast in her storage bag.
YunGe had originally wanted to put the disciple down, but when the disciple realized her intentions, she buried her head in YunGe’s bosom.
YunGe felt distressed and touched the disciple’s slightly dry hair. She held the disciple very tightly.
When YunGe returned to the Merit Hall, there was a slightly familiar youth standing behind the elder. YunGe just took a glance: deep eyes, handsome facial features, and an unruly look. When YunGe heard the elder call out Hua Min, she recalled the identity of this person and took another glance. If she threw out this person with a chuuni-prince syndrome, would there be a problem again?
When this person first met YunGe, he was only 10 years old. At the time, his face only lacked one word: “Brat.”[1] At their first meeting, this person had directly pounced on her. This had frightened YunGe who, had not yet familiarized with controlling her spiritual power. She had only given him a mere push but she had not realized that this brat was still an ordinary child. As a result, he couldn’t get out of bed for 3 days…
[(T/N)- sound familiar? :3]
“YunGe is back!” The elder’s smile opened up like a chrysanthemum.
“Senior Sister Yun…” Hua Min is the Eldest Disciple of the Merit Hall’s elder.
Several honorable elders’ Eldest Disciples’ position points qualify for their capability, so Hua Min had to call YunGe ‘Senior Martial Sister’.
“…” Towards adorable children, YunGe’s patience was at MAX. But she had no such patience towards this youth with an old chuuni-prince syndrome. YunGe tossed out the Level 4 Flame Beast from her storage pouch and proceeded to ignore the attention she garnered from those assembled.
“(⊙o⊙)…” This is definitely not true, how could Senior Sister possibly kill a Level 4 Flame Beast on her first task???My eyes must have seen wrong!! The inner disciples who had come to accumulate experience and knowledge had decided to loiter around when Senior Sister first accepted the task. When she returned, the child in her embrace shocked everyone silly that they couldn’t manage to retract their eyeballs.
“…” The elder certainly didn’t share the astonishment of those disciples. This was YunGe’s first mission. In addition, he had always wanted YunGe to be his disciple’s dual cultivation partner. It didn’t matter if she didn’t have any capability, having a cultivation base was enough. The elder’s gaze settled on the apprentice in YunGe’s arms and all his happy thoughts almost disappeared from his eyes. Suppressing his emotions, he said “Ning Xin Core.”
YunGe accepted the Ning Xin Core from the elder and prepared to leave with her disciple. YunGe had not missed those erased happy thoughts in the elder’s eyes. She sneered in her heart; this person really has such beautiful thoughts!
“Senior Sister is worthy of being called Senior Sister! We are far inferior ah!” When these words came out, the expressions of all the disciples turned ugly. YunGe is the Eldest Disciple of Yunfu School,as well as the pride in everyone’s heart. Had these words been uttered before, everyone would have nodded in agreement. But now, these words were said with a subtle undertone. All the disciples felt like they had been slapped in the face…
Contrary to their expectations, YunGe didn’t seem affected. She didn’t even bother looking at the speaker and prepared to depart with the apprentice in her arms.
“…” Seeing YunGe indifferently departing infuriated the speaker. “Senior Sister is still as high as ever ah!”
[T/N- try reading “high” as “tall” for a better understanding of the following dialogue…huehuehue ]
At this, YunGe turned her head, expressionlessly glancing at the talkative youth standing not too far away, and coldy said, “One can’t do anything about growing taller.” Finishing her words, she looked at the other person who was shorter than her.
“Puchi!!” The surrounding Junior Brothers and Sisters laughed all at once. At last, this was definitely a stab at the heart of the Merit Hall’s Second Junior Brother!
Merit Hall’s Second Senior Brother was instantly enraged. By the time he had started to cultivate, his bones had already grown old. It was not possible for him to grow any taller . His height could still be considered as average in the mortal realm. But here, most of the disciples had been at Yunfu since childhood. Under the warmth of spiritual power and cultivation, they all had longer legs. With him inside the picture frame, not just the style of the painting, even the dimension seemed different.
“What cultivation world’s #1 person? Later on, wouldn’t she still be like everyone else and bend over for a male cultivator!”
“Pa!!” YunGe, like the beasts in the Jiao Xun mountains, directly punched him.
[T/N- “Pa” is an onomatopoeia for that great punch as well as “puchi”=laughing.]
Second Senior Brother threw two spell formations, but to no effect. His face was visibly swollen.
“(⊙o⊙)…” Good hit!!!Because of the presence of the punched person’s master, the spectators didn’t dare applaud. However, their hearts were already satisfied!
“YunGe! What is the meaning of this!” Second Senior Brother looked at her with his swollen face. The Merit Hall’s elder hurried over and took a good look. “What’s going on?”
“…” YunGe glanced at the elder and said nothing.
The elder’s back felt a chill. Could she possibly know something??
YunGe’s true thoughts were actually: Elder, your disciple should take some medicine. Are you making it?
However, YunGe’s expressionless face, coupled with her gaze that seemed to be glancing over insignificant, powerless creatures, made the elder feel like his plans needed more planning. This person was not as easily deceived as he had imagined!
Moreover, Elder Lian had always treated this Eldest Disciple dearly. Very few elders would accept a female as their Eldest Disciple. But not only did Elder Lian accept her, he had also always kept her well-supplied with good stuff for many years! He clearly needed to strategize a bit more.

[(T/N)- Before this chapter starts, this translation finally has an editor! Yay (*≧▽≦) Chapter Edited by: Chinthani ]
In fact, YunGe was inwardly excited. Facing off against a mere Level 4 Flame Beast was almost a theatrical display of a crushing victory. It left her feeling somewhat “High in score but low in ability” about herself. Eh… correction, it should be “High ability, low cognition”…
But, not only were Level 8 Flame Beasts different from the other spiritual beasts, the power of their flames were also on a whole other level from lower level Flame Beasts. Factor in an enraged Flame Beast and it becomes even more terrifying.
Except for the big tree where the apprentice was located in, all other living organisms had already been burned by the Level 8 Flame Beast’s spiritual flames!
YunGe held her sword in one hand and charged at the beast’s Achilles’ heel. Her other hand dissolved the Flame Beast’s attack.
At the start of the battle, the combat gap between the two had made things difficult for YunGe. But luckily, her reaction and comprehension abilities were top-tier. After suffering several losses, YunGe discovered this Flame Beast’s only flaw.
At the beginning, YunGe had not used her Thunder Variation spiritual veins because she wasn’t 100% sure of the outcome; She did not wish to waste her own spiritual power such a immense, unique skill.
YunGe dodged past another hit from the Flame Beast and found her chance. Her right hand turned and formed a powerful Lightning Variation attack power. Then, she used it to strike the Flame Beast’s eye.
The Level 8 Flame Beast obviously did not expect such a move from YunGe. Her attacks couldn’t leave even a scratch on their snow-white fur, but their eyes were different. A Level 8 Flame Beast’s vulnerable spot is its eyes. An intolerable pain accompanied by a rapid disappearance of spiritual power made the Flame Beast completely mad!
Despite losing an eye, the Flame Beast could locate YunGe with its remaining spiritual power. It had already lost its reason, directly charging towards YunGe!
“Senior Martial Sister!!!!” Having sensed huge spiritual power fluctuations, Junior Sister Lin Ling and Third Junior Brother Lin Pu had rushed to witness this scene!
Only to see YunGe laugh coldly, “Brute. I had originally thought to spare your life. Now, it seems unnecessary.”
Others may not know, but could YunGe not know? From the beginning, this Flame Beast’s target had not been her, but rather the big tree behind her! YunGe did not understand the Flame Beast’s line of thinking but that did not affect her killing intent.
Junior Sister Lin Ling opened her mouth. This was the first time she had seen her Senior Sister fight. Everyone in Yunfu School was aware that the Eldest Disciple of Thunder Peak’s master is the pride of the Lin generation. At the young age of 16, she was at Foundation Establishment. The number 1 in the entire cultivation world! But hardly any disciple had ever seen this #1 person fight.
All the other cultivators had the habit of advancing in actual combat. Not only could they acquire combat experience, they could also toughen their willpower. Although YunGe hardly ever undertook tasks, and did not engage in actual combat, she still managed to advance more rapidly than anyone else. This had given cause to some envious remarks about how she had talent, but not the corresponding willpower. Later on, they didn’t know which male cultivator would be let off lightly…
Lin Ling’s eyes emitted rays as she looked at the Flame Beast, but it didn’t make the situation difficult for Senior Martial Sister. The latter’s face had remained serene, as if she was were facing not a Level 8 Spiritual Beast, but merely a disobedient big cat. Once in a while, strands of unruly hair streaked across her cheek. With spiritual energy protecting her body and the white sleeves of her robe fluttering in the breeze… this kind of image can could only be used to describe a Fairy!!
If YunGe could hear what her Junior Brother and Junior Sister were thinking in their hearts, she would certainly want to complain. He he[1]… Third Junior Brother, Junior Sister. I presume you hit your brains until they were soft and then added in a photoshop of a beautiful picture[2]? Still the latest version???Do you not see me forced to use my spiritual vein’s life force?!
Every cultivator had their own spiritual veins. It is only natural to have a sword. However, there were no spiritual veins that could to help absorb spiritual energy; and improving one’s cultivation base was difficult. In general, during a battle, cultivators would not rashly use their own spiritual veins to make a move. This was because of how difficult it was to regain spiritual power after it was used. As the battle progressed, they could only rely on their swordsmanship.
Fortunately, YunGe had already destroyed the Level 8 Flame Beast’s eyes. So even if it was a little exhausting, she could still capture this damaged but resistant and hard-to-defeat Flame Beast.
It was not until YunGe used her last strike on the Flame Beast, that it fell to the ground. When the beast fell, Junior Sister and Junior Brother returned to reality. As a result, they saw that their Senior Sister did not even glance at her prize for winning, but went directly to the top of a tree… the top of a tree… tree… the only plant that was still intact. The two widened their eyes. Senior Martial Sister! That is a Level 8 Flame Beast ah!!Don’t be like this, ok?
At the top of the tree, YunGe saw her disciple trapped in the small circle. The disciple hugged her knees and curled her body. YunGe felt distressed. While battling with the beast, she had sensed her disciple wanted trying to come out. But she did not dare to let this unarmed and defenseless[4] little guy out.
YunGe carried the trembling disciple. The disciple is still too small. It was inevitable that this type of scenario would frighten her. However, the disciple’s physique won’t allow her to retreat in fear. This was another reason why YunGe had wanted to bring her here.
[T/N- “暗道” was between the first 2 sentences of the paragraph above, no idea what it meant.]
Perhaps finally sensing the familiar smell, the disciple suddenly burrowed into YunGe’s embrace. Her head was firmly buried in YunGe’s chest.
YunGe gently patted the disciple’s back. Her tone as gentle and soft as ever. “It’s all right, it’s all right…”
“Mas…ter…” The voice was thin and small, but what kind of person was YunGe? Her entire body shook for a while and felt numb. She finally understood how her best friend must have felt when she heard that child called her ‘mother’ for the first time!
” … ” The little disciple had already raised her head. Unlike the meaty little faces of other children, the disciple’s face had almost no meat. Exactly not much meat on the face. Her watery, sly eyes got bigger. At this moment, the habitually expressionless eyes were full of panic. Her face was covered in tears. Her little hands tightly grabbed YunGe’s lapel. This appearance made YunGe’s heart ache. Is she too worried?
YunGe lightly wiped the disciple’s tears. “Don’t cry. This time, it’s my fault for bringing you out here…” YunGe felt regretful. The child was different from herself, and her Junior Brother and Junior Sister. Her heart had been covered in dust…
The disciple struggled for a moment, then YunGe was surprised. She saw a lump of spiritual power that almost resembled cotton candy… She took another glance at her still-crying disciple…
Wasn’t this too powerful? Her disciple had yet to learn how to use spiritual power. She had only seen YunGe gather spiritual power once. Now, she had unexpectedly learned how!!
While YunGe was in a daze, a refreshing flavor went from her lips and flowed into her body. The spiritual power that was exhausted from the use of Root Life Thunder was gradually replenished.
YunGe returned to reality and realized that the disciple had put the spiritual cotton candy in her mouth…
YunGe’s heart felt warm… this child…
End of Chapter 7 Thanks for Reading!
[1]- “如果被现在被八级火焰兽逼得气急的云歌知道了自家师妹和师弟的心里的想法” also, that ‘he he’ was not ‘he.’ It’s a cold, sarcastic laugh of some sort. [2]-“你们脑袋里是自打柔光再加上ps以及美图秀秀吧?” Yun Ge’s creative insults have lost me… [4]- “手无寸铁 “- Literally “not an inch of steel.” Figuratively- “unarmed and defenseless.”
YunGe saw that the little disciple had spent a lot of spiritual power to control the plant spiritual power attracted to her. Afterwards, she did not resist the spiritual power again. YunGe breathed a sigh of relief. The disciple’s Pure Yin body and wood spiritual veins are closely related. If her disciple wasn’t willing, then the problem would be very troublesome ah!
It may be because of the portion of spiritual power she absorbed earlier had caused her skin to be humid. Her face had lost the sullen feeling, but had a little bewilderness. The disciple’s chin was sharp, her face didn’t have much meat to begin with, and her watery eyes got bigger. That dazed look would make a person’s heart hurt.
(T/N- Specifically the bottom interior of the heart, but eh.)
“Hey! Senior Martial Brother, there’s other people here!” A lively voice had transferred over.
When YunGe heard it, her first reaction was to hold the still-dazed disciple in her embrace. It was normal to run into other disciples who were doing their tasks. But which sect were they from?
“Junior Martial Sister, don’t mess around.” A calm and familiar male’s voice appeared.
Then, YunGe saw a whited clothed youth along with a yellow clothed girl show up not far from here.
“Senior Martial Sister.” Lin Ling called YunGe, but her gaze turned to the little apprentice.
YunGe calmly glanced at her while taking the disciple in her embrace. She was not worried that Junior Sister would find out about the disciple’s Pure Yin body. Her Pure Yin body is the Nine Yin Channels, so people without Foundation Establishment couldn’t see it. This was another reason why YunGe dared to bring her disciple out to do tasks. Most importantly, her identity is Yunfu School’s Lin generation’s Eldest Disciple. Whether it is Yunfu School or other sects, there were many things she needed to consider.
She does not want to keep raising the little disciple under her care. Instead, she hopes that her disciple can use her own skills to be at the top of the cultivation world.
In the cultivation world, the status of female cultivators were not high. This was because the last female cultivator who had a single-minded focus for cultivation did not have high innate talent. If the talent is high, then it is inevitable for the talent to wear out. YunGe does not think that she, herself, can be at the top of the cultivation world. But the disciple in her arms is different. The disciple’s talent almost defies the heavens. As long as she attentively cultivates, she would one day rise. When she does, neither the Inner Demons nor Lightning Tribulations would be as annoying as other cultivators.
“Senior Sister.” Third junior brother Lin Pu wasn’t like Lin Ling, who was secretly looking at the disciple.
(T/N- “赤果果” That was how Lin Ling looked at the disciple in the original. I tried to search this up on Google to find out what it meant. I still don’t know what those characters mean.)
“Senior Sister, are you also here to do a task?” Lin Ling felt that today’s Senior Sister was not very cold.
“I presume Third Junior Brother took Junior Sister to do sect tasks?” YunGe saw the stiff apprentice in her arms and understood that the disciple was not used to seeing strangers. As a result, she decided not to take the same route as them and let Third Junior Brother bring Junior Sister to do tasks.
Junior Sister still wanted to say something, but YunGe had already carried the little disciple and left.
Parting ways with Third Junior Brother and Junior Sister, YunGe didn’t feel that she had not fulfill her duty as Senior Sister. ╮(╯▽╰)╭ I am not their masters, I had better worry about my own disciple!
Compared to the Elder Disciples who harshly criticize other Inner Disciples, YunGe treats her Junior Brothers and Sisters very well. There was no conflict[2] between the 4 of them. The relationship between the other disciples can be described as a bloody hurricane. Whether it was because of the talent or power, the Inner Disciples’ were greater than those of Traditional Disciples. The Inner Disciples couldn’t accept this in their hearts, but the Eldest Disciples felt a sense of crisis. However, there were no such problems between YunGe and her Junior Brothers and Sisters. From childhood, YunGe not only crushed the Inner Disciples, but also crushed the Elders’ Eldest Disciples! Then she became #1 of this generation’s Eldest Disciples.
[2]- “龌蹉”
YunGe saw her disciple’s body had relaxed and then touched her head. “Are you not going down?” YunGe had a smiling expression. The voice caused the disciple, who was stealthily pinching YunGe’s lapels, to redden her ears.
Looking at the disciple’s red ears, YunGe smiled, but did not say anything more.
The disciple struggled for a while and went down to the ground.
As usual, YunGe lead along the disciple. “Ok, let’s go find Flame Beasts.”
YunGe felt it was good and bad to leave the disciple an image of a cool Master[3]. Uh… no, it is to let the apprentice feel a sense of security…
Then… YunGe looked at the Level 4 Flame Beast that came out just a moment ago… already lying and on ground…
YunGe wants to say… the first time going out to do a task… still too cautious!
YunGe suddenly wanted to cover her face. She had no face to go back to see the elders of Merit Hall. When she said she selected this task, the elders’ face had a cramped appearance.
Right now, YunGe could imagine the elder’s mental behaviors at that time. She is in the Foundation Establishment stage ah!!!Her image ah! Could it be that this is the legendary ‘high in score but low in ability’???
[T/N- high score, low ability… I feel attacked.]
Eh… YunGe glanced at the unresistant Level 4 Flame Beast. Alright, it didn’t count as high in score and low in ability… but practical capability and cognition certainly had a deviation.
For a moment, YunGe’s expression was wonderful [4]. Then she was pulled back to reality by a pair of black pupils.
YunGe crouched down. “Alright, the little monster is already defeated.” At this quarter of an hour, YunGe felt that she was Ultraman! [5]
The disciple’s eyes were bright, looking towards YunGe. That one heart in YunGe was content!
The Level 4 Flame Beast is already dead. YunGe put away the Level 4 Flame Beast in her storage pouch. Then she took the disciple’s hand and prepared to go back.
But before she could walk a step, YunGe felt a powerful oppression appear unexpectedly.
YunGe’s first reaction was to pick up the disciple, then sent herself upon a tall tree with the most spiritual power.
Looking up, she saw a violent rage… Flame Beast???
YunGe was astonished and concentrated on the spiritual beast that was more than twice the size of the Level 4 Flame Beast.
“Roar!!!” The Level 8 Flame Beast sensed the smell of its partner on this person’s body. Its eyes were already reddened and completely released its oppression.
YunGe sighed in her heart. She actually had such luck. Spiritual beasts rarely appear in large numbers because they have strict territory awareness. But if they team up, then it shows they are partners.
When YunGe sensed powerful spiritual fluctuations, she knew that this Flame Beast couldn’t be lower than Level 8. To the Flame Beast, Level 8 is equivalent to a cultivator in Foundation Establishment.
YunGe feels that this direction is really…
YunGe pinched a magic seal and threw it to the big tree, where the disciple was located. She ensured that the apprentice would not be hurt by the spiritual fluctuations when fighting[6]. Then she stood up seriously and confronted the Flame Beast in front of her.
YunGe lacks actual combat, so once they began, it was a strenuous effort to YunGe. The Level 8 Spiritual Beast had no idea how to crush YunGe, but its actual combat can crush her!

Footnotes-
[3]- “自己好歹得给小徒弟留下炫酷狂拽的师尊形象吧!” Just some words that described her image were excluded, didn’t know what they meant.
[4]- “云歌表情精彩了好一会儿”
[5]-Ultraman is basically the Japanese version of a superhero. ( ̄∇ ̄) [6]- Magic seal(?)- “法诀” and “发斗时”
I’m just here wondering why a level 8 spiritual beast would agree to be partners/companions with a level 4 beast… (*wink wonk?*)
